Ronwen Williams is a South African goalkeeper and captain of both Mamelodi Sundowns and the national team. He joined Sundowns in 2022 after more than a decade with SuperSport United and has established himself as one of the country’s leading goalkeepers. Williams played a decisive role in Sundowns’ 2026 CAF Champions League triumph, saving a penalty from Mohamed Hrimat in the second leg of the final against AS FAR. His save helped secure the 2–1 aggregate victory and Sundowns’ second continental crown.
