The Betway Premiership, commonly referred to as the PSL (after its governing body, the Premier Soccer League), is the top tier of South African club football. It has been organised since 1996. The league’s naming rights have changed several times through sponsorship — it has been known as the ABSA Premiership, the DStv Premiership, and since 2024, the Betway Premiership.
Mamelodi Sundowns have won the league on 18 occasions in total. Mamelodi Sundowns Their most recent run includes titles in 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24, and 2024/25 Mamelodi Sundowns – eight consecutive championships, a record in the league’s history. The 2024/25 title was their eighth domestic championship in a row.
