OUR STORY
The CAF Super Cup is an annual African club football competition contested between the winners of the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup. The match is played as a single fixture, with the CAF Champions League winners hosting the game.
Mamelodi Sundowns won the CAF Super Cup in February 2017, defeating TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo 1–0 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.This was a direct consequence of their 2016 CAF Champions League victory — as champions, they hosted the match and won it via a late Ricardo Nascimento penalty. It remains Sundowns’ only CAF Super Cup title to date.
