Downs’ Diski Team Looking to Get the Rub of the Green against Magesi FC

Mamelodi Sundowns’ Diski Team is back in action this weekend, and they will play hosts to the Magesi FC Reserves when they meet on Sunday morning at Tuks Stadium.

The start to the New Year has not been a smooth sailing for the young Brazilians, following the 1-1 draw in their 2026 opener against Sekhukhune United and the 2-0 loss over the weekend against the Chiefs Reserve. Having only collected a point so far this year, the upcoming games will be of great importance as they look to get the rub of the green.

Just like their Mamelodi Sundowns counterparts, the Limpopo-based side have only picked up one point in the two fixtures they have played so far this year. With both sides having picked up the same points this year, this fixture promises a mouthwatering one between rivals that are seeking a victory to turn things around.

Since their first-ever meeting last season, Masandawana have never defeated the Magesi side. Heading to what will be their fourth meeting, coach Tiro van Rooyen’sside will look to not only record their first victory against Magesi, but they will look to get their first victory of the year and return to winning ways.
