Khulumani Ndamane Previews Midweek Fixture Against Usuthu
Following their exit in the Nedbank Cup, Mamelodi Sundowns will now shift their focus to the Betway Premiership. They are on the road for a midweek fixture against Amazulu, which is set to play at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Tuesday night.
Bafana Ba Style have travelled to Kwa-Zulu-Natal as the focus turns back to the domestic league. Speaking to Downs’ defender, Khulumani Ndamane, he stated the team is now focusing on the game scheduled for Tuesday after the loss over the weekend.
“We were not fine following our exit in the Nedbank Cup, but that has happened, and we need to move forward and focus on the next game. The coach told us to focus on this one game we are playing on Tuesday, so that’s what we are doing now,” the 22-year-old stated.
Looking ahead to a fixture where they are set to play against an Amazulu side who sit 5th on the log, with just five points behind Masandawana, Ndamane admitted it will be a tough game.
“I think it’s going to be a difficult game because Amazulu have been doing well in their last few matches. So, we’ll need to focus on this game and ensure that we stick to the game plan. It will be important for us to win this game.”
The centre-back concluded by encouraging the supporters to come out in numbers to support the team. He said, “I’d like to encourage the Yellow Nation to come out in numbers to rally behind the team. Your presence is what keeps us going and displaying outstanding performances.”
Mamelodi Sundowns will clash against Amazulu FC on Tuesday night at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. Kick-off has been scheduled for 19H30, live on SuperSport TV.

What I’ve realised in all this years I’m Downs pr soccer generally every coach have his own favourite players,we can cry about certain players not playing but to him they’re not on his plan,even now some of us are crying about Pitso and Rhulani those two were having their own players I still remember when we question Rhulani why he’s not fielding Jali but he preferred Mokoena over Jali.
Some are crying about our style of play nowadays they want Rhulani to come back but while he was here we didn’t reach the final of Champs league even though our soccer was nice even on domestic trophies we were beaten with that beautiful soccer.
I won’t cry too much about the loss of Nedbank to me it’s a blessing in disguise to concentrate on the big fish now and local even Bucs and Chiefs will be more fresher than before because their concentration is only the league whereas if we won on Saturday it will he tough and end up not getting even one trophy.
Cardoso is not that bad as our fellow Dawanas and the media are portraying him his soccer or style of play is watchable and instead of praising him on those games they will say Downs players won themselves not the coach but if we lost its Cardoso,he may go at the end of the season but the new coach will also playing his favourites,lastly I think some our players have overstayed at Downs they must be released and a lot of them and promote few guys from DDC.
