Keanu Cupido is a South African defender who joined Mamelodi Sundowns from Cape Town City in January 2025. A versatile centre-back, Cupido spent seven seasons with Cape Town City before making the move to Chloorkop. He became an important defensive option during Sundowns’ 2025/26 campaign and played in the CAF Champions League final despite recovering from a fractured collarbone. Cupido was part of the Sundowns side that defeated AS FAR 2–1 on aggregate to win the 2026 CAF Champions League.
